Research Goals

My research is dedicated to validating the effectiveness of psychosocial interventions in pediatric care, with a focus on multisystemic family therapy and Bronfenbrenner's ecological systems theory. With experience in working with at-risk youth, trauma, emergencies, and children with neurological conditions, I explore how structured activities, such as those facilitated at Camp Spark, can alleviate stress and promote emotional well-being. Additionally, I am collaborating with an MSU professor and a child life colleague on a study that collects anonymous surveys from EMS, fire, and police personnel, capturing their experiences treating pediatric trauma cases.

My work also delves into the long-term impacts of bibliotherapy and art therapy on adolescents coping with trauma. Drawing from both personal and academic insights, I aim to contribute evidence-based practices to pediatric care, driven by a deep commitment to the emotional health of children. My research is fueled by a passion to ensure every child receives compassionate, informed care that helps them thrive.
